Purity in Christian Courtship       
  Marriage is found with men, irrespective of race, colour, religion, sociocultural and geographical location. 
Marriage is a union between a man and a woman, it is the social institution approved for the establishment of a family. 
As Christians, it is important to note that marriage originated from God, so it is neither a man’s idea nor a societal or cultural idea. 

In the book of Genesis chapter 2 after the creation of earth and everything in it, verse7 God created the first man (Adam). Verse8 And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden and He put the man whom He had formed. In verse 15, God gave a specific responsibility to the man to dress the garden and keep it. 

After a while, God observed and He sees that it is not good that the man should be alone Gen.2:18…. I will make him an help meet for him.

 That was the first marriage and the origin of marriage Genesis 2:21-25. 
Marriage is one of the thing God commands that should be honorable in all with the bed undefiled Heb.13:4, therefore purity in Christian courtship is a must and our God is unchangeable God (Malachi3:6 and Heb.13:8) so He will never change His standard and principle for any reason. 

The foundation of God stands sure 2Thimothy 2:19. 
The standard of God for Christian courtship is the same standard that He had set for anybody who want to be a vessel unto honour in His hand which implies that a life of purity and purity in courtship is the only acceptable standard in the agenda of God for every Christian. 
The bible says in psalm 119:1; Blessed are the undefiled in the way who walk in the law of the Lord. For a courtship to experience the presence God, the foundation must be based on purity so that God will be the pathfinder of the courtship.
 Before we can see God in all our affairs in life, our life and heart must be pure Matthew 5:8.
If there is no purity in a courtship, there will be impurity and impurity will give room for the devil to be in charge of such relationship which means that devil will be the one to determine the end of such courtship which will never end well. 

Lastly, for every children of God holiness is a command it is not an option

 1Peter 1: verse 15  says But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation, verse 16 ’ Be ye holy for I am holy.

Some of the keys that can help you to achieve purity in Christian courtship includes;
1. Allow the will of God in your choice of partner.
2. Share the word of God together.
3. Receive godly counsel about courtship.
4. Be prayerful.
5. Be aware that devil wants you to defile yourselves.
6. Resist the devil and flesh.
7. Do not live together in the same room as husband and wife before marriage.
8. Agree together to allow purity during the courtship.
9. Be sincere to yourselves.
10.  Be faithful to God.

May God grant you grace to be able to ensure purity and please God with your christian Life, relationship, courtship and marriage.
