Facts About You - Sermon by Pastor Faith Oyedepo

Topic: Facts About You [Thursday July 30, 2015]
“Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” –Psalm 100:3
Some people are challenged and depressed about life; some others are dissatisfied about their looks or maybe a part of their physical body.
This makes them question God on why they were created.

You must understand that you didn’t just happen, you were specially crafted. You are not an afterthought or a mistake; you were specially designed by God to suit a particular purpose.

Some of the facts you need to know that would help change your mentality are that: At new birth, you became a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your old self and nature died and God reformed you into His image and likeness. So, if you have been recreated to be like God, then you can command victory just as He does.
Another fact is that you also are royalty (Revelation 5:10). So, you must stop acting like a peasant and assume the role of one filled with elegance, grace and colour. You are also the salt of the earth, so your life should add taste, preservation and flavour to those around you and the world at large.
As we see in Matthew 5:13-16, you also are light to illuminate the true nature of God to your world, set the pace and lead others to the splendour in Christ. You can’t assume all of these responsibilities if you keep living in self pity. Finding, accepting and then walking in line with who God has made you to be, causes the world to come to the brightness of your rising. So, brace up and accept with gratitude the things you cannot change, change what you can and do all it takes to realise your glorious destiny.
Remain Blessed!
