Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone

TOPIC: Get Out Of Your Comfort Zone (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Friday, 10 August 2018)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 1:8-9

MEMORY VERSE“I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.” – John 9:4
The MESSAGE:

Every one of us that enjoys the gift of salvation is mandatorily required to preach the gospel to the unsaved. This assignment has no geographical boundary and no discrimination whatsoever as to race, tribe or religion.
We are directed by the Lord to go into the uttermost part of the earth with the gospel not only to cities where there is access to social amenities and bountiful offering and tithes.
This is the Great Commission: the heartbeat of God. The Lord did not stay in any comfort zone during His earthly ministry. He moved from coast to coast, village to village, and spread the good news to all the areas accessible to Him except where He was violently rejected.
His regular slogan was: ‘I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.’ Jesus worked tirelessly with great focus on the mandate given by the Father within the time frame set for the accomplishment of the task.
He was a good time manager, task manager, and goal getter. He combined efficiency with effectiveness in a timely fashion with determined focus to please the Father. He demonstrated good sense of responsibility and accountability.
The disciples initially concentrated their ministerial work on Jerusalem regarded as their comfort zone.
The mandate of the Lord was for them to witness also in Judea, Samaria, and the uttermost part of the earth but this was not given attention until persecution forced them out of Jerusalem. Operating in the comfort zone limits the spread of the gospel and is unhelpful to the accomplishment of the Great Commission. Comfort zone ministers do not encourage missionary work to remote areas.
They are glued to the cities and firmly attached to their congregation.
They live big, feed fat, and fail to grow the ministry according to divine mandate. They do not take risk for the Lord neither do they allow any ministerial assignment with the elements of risk. Even within their comfort zone, they go about with bodyguards and high-level security to show their love for human protection rather than divine protection. Their love for Christ does not entail risking their lives for the sake of the gospel.
Apostle Paul shared his ministerial experience in 2 Corinthians 11:23-29.
He was imprisoned frequently, flogged severely, exposed to death again and again, beaten with rods, stoned, suffered shipwreck, spent a night and a day in the open sea, constantly on the move, in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from his own countrymen, in danger from Gentiles, in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea, in danger from false brothers, laboured and toiled, often went without sleep, battered by hunger and thirst, cold and naked, and faced daily the pressure of concern for all the churches. At the end of his ministry, he had the testimony that he finished his course faithfully.
You must follow the example of Apostle Paul and get out of your comfort zone to aggressively pursue the mandate given by the Lord. May the grace of God be with you, in the mighty name of Jesus.
